Summer Volunteers

“Every time I saw a smile light up a client’s face, I knew what I was doing was valuable, not just for them, but for me as a volunteer.”

—Adaptive Sports Association Volunteer

Volunteer to come and help ASA offer adaptive programs and outdoor summer programming to individuals with disabilities in the 2022 Summer season. You’ll have the opportunity to complete raft training on the Animas, canoe and kayaking lessons, and cycling training.

During the summer season, volunteers are needed to assist with regularly scheduled whitewater rafting, flat-water canoeing, lake kayaking, cycling and camping. Some other activities may include camping, rock climbing, and more. No experience is necessary and we provide all training.

Volunteer benefits include:

  • Experience learning new outdoor sports
  • Learn the skills to help people with disabilities enjoy the experience of summer sports and outdoor recreation
