WINTER VOLUNTEERS

ASA is looking for volunteers to join us for the upcomming season!

“Some of the great benefits of this program is that it lifts the kids confidence… To see them up on the mountain, you can’t tell that they have special needs of any kind.”

— Paraprofessional from Durango School District

At Adaptive Sports Association, we have over 300 local volunteers who make our ski and snowboarding lessons possible. We train intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders to teach adaptive snow sports, so no previous experience with ski/snowboard instruction or with disabilities is necessary.

The benefits of volunteering are significant, including:

  • FREE ski improvement clinics
  • Improved skills to help people with disabilities enjoy the experience of winter snow sports
  • Discounted skiing at Purgatory Resort
  • Generous discounts at a number of local businesses
  • Pro (discounted) deals on ski equipment including ExpertVoice
